Kyle Carnahan founded Vegvisir Group International in June 2023 with the vision of creating a company that could facilitate US and International companies, government organizations and academic institutions in achieving their operational objectives in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region by providing a better understanding of the business and political environments, the established business infrastructures, customer culture and history, market analysis and available resources to work, operate and succeed.
Prior to establishing VGI, Kyle was the Vice President and General Manager General Manager of the Navistar Defense LLC Branch Office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 2019 to June 2023. In this role he was responsible for the establishment of the Saudi Arabia regional office, its overall operations, the daily business activities, and the growth of the Saudi business development programs. Before joining Navistar Defense, Kyle served as the Vice President and General Manager of BAE Systems Saudi America from July 2013 to July 2019, where he also established the local office and developed and implemented several successful business winning capture strategies.
Kyle is a long-time friend and resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the MENA region having spent many of his formative years in the region, as well as decades living and working in multiple Arab countries. Prior to retiring from the U.S. Army with 26 years of active service, he worked as the United States Defense and Army Attaché to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia working closely with both the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the National Guard from 2011 to 2013
Kyle brings decades of experience in business, regional business practices, business strategy development, knowledge on regional assets, foreign military sales, direct commercial sales, USG interagency, U.S. foreign policy, U.S. country team roles and responsibilities and cultural appreciation and understanding. In his many roles, he has lived and worked throughout most of the region in the following countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Yemen.
Kyle retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel. During his service, he deployed overseas as a Field Artillery Officer and Middle East North Africa Foreign Area Officer. Kyle received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery from New Mexico Military Institute in 1984. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Minor in Business Administration, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Security Studies - Middle East and North Africa from the Naval Postgraduate School Monterey, California and a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs from the Air War College Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
Mr. Carnahan currently resides with this wife Carmen in Tucson, Arizona. They have three children: Patricia, Joshua and Maryam and two grandsons Leland and Aiden.
